Modern Meets Classy: Under-Stairs Storage with Oak Interiors

Every home has that awkward space under the stairs — too small for a room, too open for storage, and often wasted. For this project, our client wanted something sleek and modern on the outside, but warm and timeless inside.
The Challenge
The staircase dominated the hallway, leaving an unused void underneath. Off-the-shelf storage solutions would have looked clunky, with visible handles and mismatched finishes. The client wanted clean, modern lines that blended into the wall — without sacrificing character.
Our Solution
We designed push-to-open, handleless doors that sit flush with the hallway wall. From the outside, the look is minimal and seamless — a modern statement that doesn’t intrude on the space.

Inside, we contrasted the clean exterior with rich oak interiors. Shelving, compartments, and hang space were crafted in natural oak, giving a warmth and class that greets you every time you open the doors. This clash of styles — modern minimalism outside, timeless oak inside — is what makes the project unique.

The Result
The hallway is now streamlined, functional, and beautiful. Guests don’t even notice the storage at first glance — and when the doors open, the oak interiors deliver a sense of craftsmanship and luxury. Built in-house, finished with precision, and designed to last, it’s storage that feels like part of the home, not an afterthought.
“It’s the perfect mix of modern and traditional — the clean doors disappear into the wall, but the oak inside makes it feel truly special.”
Why It Matters
Good design isn’t just about hiding clutter. It’s about creating storage that adds style and elevates the whole space. With bespoke under-stairs storage, you don’t just make use of an awkward corner — you add a feature that’s both modern and classy.
